Finding work in forensic science
As a forensic scientist myself, I remember the difficulty in getting into forensics: which courses to take, which schools to apply to, and whether graduate school was something I needed. And after graduation, where to look for work. I'm trying to compile here all the information you need to make an educated decision about careers in forensic science.
Here's just a few resources you'll find here. Whether you're a high school student just beginning your career, someone already in college looking forward to your first job, or someone interested in a change of career paths, I've put several things here that might help you out.
First and foremost is the list of the top 10 highest paying jobs in forensic science. Of course, the average salary of a job should not, in and of itself, be the deciding criteria by which you choose a field of forensic science to pursue. But with any job search, the pay is a substantial consideration.
I also highlight on this site several resources that can help you, namely, books and training materials that can help you make a sound decision. Check out the links. I hope it helps.
